"Sate sanguine divum,

Tros Anchisiade, facilis descensus averno:
Noctes atque dies patet Ianua ditis;

Sed revocare gradum superasque evadere ad auras,

hoc opus, hic labor est."

Aeneid 6.125-30

"Son of the gods,

Trojan Aeneas, easy is the descent to the underworld:
Pluto's dark gate lies open night and day;

But to return, and go back to the living world,

this is the challenge, here your labors lie."
